Nellie Cydelle Lynn Winstead died Sunday, June 11, 2017 at her home in the Tampa Bay area.
She was cared for by loving family members and Hospice. She was born in Screven, Wayne Co., Georgia on January 26, 1930 to Henry Carl and Hilda Franklin Lynn. Cydelle grew up in Jacksonville, Florida where she was a graduate from Lee High School. She went back to school at the age of forty and graduated fourth in her nursing class. Cydelle was a member of Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile, YMCA and Bayshore Baptist Church.

Nellie Cydelle Lynn Winstead died Sunday, June 11, 2017 at her home in the Tampa Bay area.
She was cared for by loving family members and Hospice. She was born in Screven, Wayne Co., Georgia on January 26, 1930 to Henry Carl and Hilda Franklin Lynn. Cydelle grew up in Jacksonville, Florida where she was a graduate from Lee High School. She went back to school at the age of forty and graduated fourth in her nursing class. Cydelle was a member of Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile, YMCA and Bayshore Baptist Church.
Cydelle met the love of her life, Donald Linwood Winstead, and they were married on September 1, 1948. After his retirement in 1985 they moved to Tampa to be close to her parents and brother.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Don "Jingles The Clown" Winstead; her parents Carl & Hilda Lynn; brother Henry Carl Lynn, Jr.; half-brother Rudolph Lynn; half-sister Alma Doretha Lynn Deal. She is survived by her beloved pet companion Tullah; son Paul (Marlo) Farrar; nieces Annette (James) Carter of Hinesville, GA; Elaine (Roy) Bass of Baxley, GA; Garnetta (Mike) Hicks and Lindie (Fred) Farnsworth both from Jacksonville, FL; and nephews Elwyn (Nancy) Deal Anderson, SC; Lynn Deal Reidsville, GA; Eldon (Pam) Deal Baxley, GA; and Douglas G. Winstead, Jr. Jacksonville, FL; along with many grand and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 20th from 6 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral will be Wednesday, June 21St at 10:30 a.m. at the Bayshore Baptist Church, 3111 West Morrison Ave., Tampa, Florida. Burial will be in the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida promptly at 2:00 p.m...
